Critical Care Comics began in 2012 when a childhood cancer survivor, who found comfort in comic books during his treatments, decided to give that same joy to kids facing similar battles. What started as a few comic book fans in superhero costumes delivering comics to children’s hospitals has grown into a full-fledged mission to bring smiles and support to young fighters. Today, we don’t just hand out comics—we bring superheroes to life with hospital visits, assist families in need, and even offer a nationwide scholarship for childhood cancer survivors. And the best part? Every bit of it is powered by our 100% volunteer team, proving that real heroes don’t need capes—just heart.
